8th: Complete the comparison/contrast graphic organizer about the 2 short films. Write the two paragraph analysis, type it.
7th: Read Ch. 15-18 by Tuesday. Type the one page "My Favorite Charity" -- don't forget to include the website for the charity.
6th: Complete pp. 48 & 49 in the conflict packet. Be prepared to explain the difference between external and internal conflict. Read Ch. 10-14 in Freak the Mighty by Tuesday.

6th: On p. 10 of the Freak the Mighty study packet, answer questions #4-9 from Ch. 1-5. Finish reading Chapter 5 tonight.

8th: Due to scientific advancements, many new medical breakthroughs have changed our world. Do all these breakthroughs result in a moral outcome? In other words, when do medicine and morality collide? Research one medical advancement and discuss the way it has affected our society both positively and negatively. (75 words or more)

7th: Read Ch. 4 & 5. Complete the Onion Model Diagram assignment.

6th: Revise your "Eye Bouquet" writing assignment. Staple all four parts together and be prepared to hand in the stapled, completed assignment when you come to class tomorrow! Review the following terms for the quiz tomorrow: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution, internal and external conflicts.

7th: Locate the Plagiarism contract from the Downloadable Documents link of the English Department website, print and sign to return to me. Using the SSR Reading Log link on the right side of this page, enter your SSR book title. Also, use the internet to search your SSR book author's name and write at least 3 sentences about the author. Bring to class tomorrow.
6th: Fill in the chart: define exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution. Study all highlighted definitions from the Academic Vocabulary worksheets.
