All grades: Study for exams. Vocabulary Lesson 7 is due November 8.
Grades 6 & 7:
You should cut out the flashcards for vocabulary lessons 1-6 from the back of your workbook and study the words for the exam.
You should review the literary terms from the red resource cards. You will be asked to apply your understanding of the terms to a story on the exam.
Grade 8: Study the stories and poems from the Edgar Allen Poe unit study.

7th: Answer the question about "The Migrant Farmworker's Son". Fill in the character webs for Henry, Mom and Dad. Review your notes on Magical Realism and drama. You will have a reading quiz on this information on Monday.
6th: Read ahead in your new Readers Workshop book (the one you chose in class). Fill in the chapter/reading schedule page in your packet. Review vocabulary for exam!

7th: p. 30 on Supporting Details worksheet. Finish Immigration packet questions. Final draft of the Responsibility Essay is due Tuesday, October 25.
6th: complete the Maya scenario on the dialogue worksheet. Make the scene come alive with dialogue, use correct format. Use the narrative checklist to check off the elements you have successfully included in your story! Bring the checklist to class tomorrow.
