Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone! Hope you enjoy your bountiful table and give thanks for all of your many blessings.

8th: Read Ch 6 in the Pearl and answer the study guide questions.
7th: Conduct your interview with someone who was born in another country, and type up your "Reflection on the Immigrant's Experience". Review the Circuit, the test is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov 30.
6th: complete the practice exercises in the Run-On sentence packet. Rehearse your book talk and be ready to present on Monday!

8th: Read Ch. 3 in the Pearl and answer the study questions for chapter 3.
7th: Read Section 3 in the Circuit by Thursday. Study nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, --- you will be tested on the main parts of speech tomorrow!
6th: Analyze the Thoughts, Words and Actions from the story that contribute to the humorous TONE. Use direct evidence ( online version) from the story. Fill in your answers on the chart on first page of the "All American Slurp" handout.
