To all of my dear students from the 2012-2013 school year, I love you all and wish you the best summer EVER!!!   

Mrs Grimaldi's literacy advice: Read, Read, Read!!  Subscribe to the NY Times or Wall Street Journal on your iPad. Keep a summer journal, or create a blog with your travel memories!  We'll be looking for a great travel essay to publish in the Viking Voice when school opens in September!

8th graders: 

Recommended:  FREE, valuable summer reading and writing activity on the New York Times Learning Network: Post your opinions to weekly questions.  The winning blog response will be posted on the website!  (ages 13-18) See details at:

7th Graders: Summer Reading Requirement: Complications:  Lessons on Student Leadership by Ed Gerety.  This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on your values and goals!  Ed will be visiting our school in the spring as the keynote speaker for Career Day.

6th Graders:  Have a great summer! See the link on the English Department website for more summer reading and writing fun!
