8th Grade:
Every student must have two different peer editors for their Gothic Tale, #1 Peer Editor (yellow sheet) and #2 Peer Editor (pink sheet). These two sheets must be completely filled out with the names of the Peer Editor and Student Writer on the top of the form, and then attached to your Gothic Tale Draft. This will be checked in class tomorrow. It is your responsibility to complete the process thoroughly in order to assist the student writer to improve their tale. Have you checked that they included sufficient use of Gothic elements, alliteration, figurative language, vivid verbs, juicy adjectives?
Read "The Fall of the House of Usher" and annotate it using the Gothic Elements Glossary.
7th Grade:
Answer #2 from the Extension Questions from the Dressmaker, Chapter Nine in 150 words or more. This response is due Monday. The work should be typed and double spaced.
Read the Epilogue in Dressmaker by Friday, October 18.
6th Grade:
Complete Section 3 and the Close Reading Questions carefully for tomorrow. (in the "Dying to be Strong" Cause and Effect handout.
