Kevin Pyle Workshop students: 

Think of a scene to introduce your character, setting and situation. Keep in mind what the reader needs to know in order to understand what happens next in the story.
At what point in the character's life does the story begin? Write a 150 word paragraph to explain your plan and begin the drawing phase as well. 

8th Grade:
  • see above. 
  • Complete the packet activities on both poems by Walt Whitman, pp. 145-149
  • Common Core Ready Lesson 17 is Due Monday, November 17. 

7th Grade: 
  • See above for all classes
  • Read the remainder of the Eleanor Roosevelt Non-Fiction Article.  Fill in all margin notes and follow all "monitor your reading" directions. 

6th Grade: 
  • Your Historical Fiction story is due on Tuesday, November 11.  Please begin drafting your story over the weekend on Google Drive.
