Five Fun Ideas for Kids Who Enjoy Writing (during your winter break):

1- Create a travel diary, telling the story of your trip to_________?
2-Create a "Grandparent History Journal" by writing the story of a phase in your grandparents or great-grandparents' life.
3- Write a "Painting Inspired" story after visiting an art museum. Research the painting and create a story to reflect the artist's work.
4- Write a city poem.  Try to capture the sights, sounds, smells, and textures of a city you've visited recently.
5- Write an epic poem.  Choose from an exciting moment in history and tell all the details using poetic language, sound and structure.

Best Wishes for a Joyful Holiday Break!
