- Read pp. 1-60 and complete one reflection chart. Begin working on the writing assignments listed on the diary entry chart, (list of the required reading entries) You are required to complete 3 of the writing assignments by the time we finish reading this book (approximately 3 weeks from now)

- Please work on your WM revisions, based upon your observations in class today. Remember, your revisions should include changes to the content and structure of your paper. Spelling, punctuation and grammar are part of the final editing process, not part of the revision process. Tomorrow, please bring your REVISED paper to class along with the first draft and all other work.
- The Outsiders: Read Ch. 1-2 in the novel. Complete two of the DISCUSSION QUESTIONS, listed on p. 11 of the Outsiders Study Guide packet. All questions must be typed, 100 words minimum for each question.
- Bring your rough draft and peer edits to class everyday! The final copy is due on Thursday, Jan 15!

- Continue revising our chapter questions to reflect your complete KNOWLEDGE of the chapter. Your responses should include multiple examples of specific information from the book, directly quoted and cited with the page numbers! Remember, your responses should prove that you understand what you've read.
- Read "Your Way " and complete related questions and vocabulary log due Tuesday, Jan 12. Completed vocabulary log is due Wednesday. Check your answers with your team members and make sure your log is up to date as soon as possible. The unit test on the entire book is scheduled for this week so begin reviewing the main idea and key points of each chapter.
