8th Grade:

• Final draft of the research paper is due on Thursday.  Required elements are:
• Cover sheet in approved format 
• Works Cited Page in approved format 
• At least one draft, (2 would be better), must show improvements (revisions, not just edits!)
• Sentence outline
• Minimum length 3-4 pages, no more than 5 
• highlight your thesis statement! 
• Read, annotate, and highlight the Articles # 3 & 4 in the Civil Rights packet. 

7th Grade: 

• Read "The Only Girl for Me" and "Breaking the Ice".  Be prepared to write about these stories tomorrow. 
• Write 150 words about today's performance of "Midsummer Night's Dream".  Use the "About the Production" questions in the packet #1-4, choose one or just write a general reaction to the play, citing specific characters and other details about the show that you enjoyed.

6th Grade: 

• Read pp. 494-500. After reading both poems, answer #1-8 on p. 500 in complete sentences. Print your work and bring it to class please. The poems are "The Morning Walk" by Mary Oliver and "There Is No Words for Goodbye" Mary Tall Mountain. 
• Review the "Research in Action" project from your incoming folder on Google Drive and begin to plan your project.
