8th Grade:
- Read Progress Report #9 and take notes on your monthly "progress" chart. Fill in the chart for April.
- Type a letter to your selected clothing company. Follow the model in the Scholastic handout. This letter is due Friday, October 2.
- Read pp. 12-13 in the study guide, "The Girl Effect": list of facts about girls living in third world countries. Write 100 words in which you react to what you learned. Be specific and cite at least 2-3 facts and your reactions to those facts.
- Refer to your reading schedule for The Dressmaker of Khair Khana deadlines (KK).
- All "Comprehension and Understanding" questions are due on the chapter due date. Write in complete sentences. No credit will be given for incomplete notes in your responses.
- Review "The Good Deed" in preparation for a comprehension quiz tomorrow--
- Complete p. 7 in the study guide by Tuesday, Sept 29. These ideas should be written in complete sentences and fill ALL THE LINES on the page. No credit will be given for incomplete sentences in your responses.
- Read Ch. 1-4 in "Freak the Mighty" by Wed. Sept 30.
